Associate Network Engineer

Quantabase is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Network Engineer – WAN Operations to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. This pivotal role involves supporting and operating a vast global WAN network that spans over 5,000 sites worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert Level 2 support for global WAN operations, focusing on incident and problem management to ensure high availability and performance across 5,000+ sites.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco Routers and other network devices crucial for WAN connectivity.
• Manage and optimize MPLS, VPN, and IPSec configurations to secure and enhance network traffic.
• Oversee WAN access incident and problem management, driving resolution and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global WAN / telecom operators to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve complex network issues.
• Implement network monitoring strategies and provide backbone support to proactively identify and address potential outages.
• Execute WAN changes, including new site deployments and network upgrades, adhering to strict security and compliance standards.
• Contribute to network security initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and policies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, with a strong focus on WAN Operations in large enterprise or telecom environments.
• Proven expertise in Level 2 support, encompassing comprehensive incident and problem management.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Cisco Routers for configuration and advanced troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with MPLS, VPN, and IPSec technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage global WAN infrastructure and interact effectively with telecom operators.
• Experience in network monitoring, backbone support, and implementing network changes and deployments.
• Familiarity with network security principles and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with global telecom operators such as NTT, Orange, or Bouygues is a plus.
• Prior experience in a Network Control Center (NCC) and process improvement initiatives is highly valued.
