Associate DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to ensure consistency, speed, and repeatability.
• Manage, monitor, and optimize our cloud environments primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to security best practices.
• Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle from code commit to secure and efficient production deployment.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions for system performance, reliability, and security, utilizing tools like CloudWatch and other relevant platforms.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve system scalability, enhance application efficiency, and support new feature rollouts.
• Develop and maintain scripting solutions for various operational tasks, automation, and system administration on Linux environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to promptly address and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.

Requirements

• Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in a DevOps role, with a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation best practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and others relevant to infrastructure management and deployment.
• Solid proficiency with Terraform for managing and provisioning cloud infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes (EKS).
• Good knowledge of Linux administration, command-line tools, and shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
• Understanding of network concepts, security best practices, and performance tuning in a cloud environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
