As a key member of our HR department, the HR Generalist will play an instrumental role in shaping our human capital strategies and ensuring operational excellence. This position is ideal for an individual with a proven track record of managing full lifecycle HR operations, from talent acquisition to statutory compliance, and fostering a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the complete end-to-end recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, to attract and retain top talent for various departments within India Japan Lighting Pvt. Ltd.
  • Administer payroll processing accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely disbursement and meticulous record-keeping in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Ensure full adherence to all statutory and legal compliance requirements related to labor laws, employee benefits (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.), and other HR-related regulations in India.
  • Manage core HR operations and administration, including maintaining HRIS, managing employee data, handling employee grievances, and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate performance management processes, conduct employee engagement initiatives, and support employee development programs to enhance productivity and morale.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support management decision-making and identify areas for improvement in HR functions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their HR needs and provide strategic HR guidance and support.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a significant focus on HR Generalist roles, preferably within a manufacturing or automotive sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end recruitment strategies, including executive search, mass hiring, and talent pipeline management.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in payroll administration and statutory compliance, including a thorough understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong capabilities in HR operations and administration, including HRIS management, employee relations, and policy implementation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
