Application Support Engineers

Key Responsibilities

• Ticket Management: Efficiently respond to user inquiries and meticulously log support requests using established tracking tools such as Jira or ServiceNow, ensuring all issues are documented.
• Issue Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve the root causes of fundamental application errors and system alerts, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Performance Monitoring: Conduct daily checks on application performance, review server logs, and monitor database status to detect and address potential issues before they impact users.
• Collaboration & Escalation: Work closely with senior developers and system administrators, reporting major bugs and collaborating on solutions to enhance application stability.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain and update comprehensive support guides, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and detailed error-resolution steps to enrich our team’s knowledge base.
• User Assistance: Provide first-line support to end-users, guiding them through common application functionalities and resolving basic operational issues.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in IT or Computer Science.
• Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience; this role is specifically designed for freshers.
• Technical Fundamentals: Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Operating Systems: Foundational knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows and Linux basics.
• Network & Cloud Concepts: General awareness of networking principles and cloud computing concepts.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Learning Agitude: Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes within a fast-paced IT environment.
