Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation frameworks and comprehensive test scripts using industry-leading tools such as Karate Framework and Bruno.
• Play a pivotal role in a high-impact Banking Transformation Program, ensuring the quality and reliability of complex enterprise-scale applications.
• Implement and enhance Java-based automation frameworks, promoting efficiency and scalability in testing processes.
• Conduct thorough API testing for REST APIs, validating authentication mechanisms including OAuth and JWT to ensure secure and functional integrations.
• Perform comprehensive SQL validation to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within tested systems.
• Analyze and debug automation failures, identifying root causes swiftly and collaborating effectively with development teams for timely resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall software quality and delivery speed.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 to 9 years of relevant experience as an API Automation Test Engineer or in a similar automation testing role.
• Mandatory and strong expertise in either Karate Framework or Bruno API Automation is essential.
• Proven, hands-on experience in Java Automation Framework Development.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and JWT.
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation, querying, and data integrity checks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed automation failure analysis and effective debugging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
