Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle development of complex Android applications, from concept and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into functional and engaging mobile experiences.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code using Kotlin and Java, adhering to best practices and architectural patterns.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs effectively.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest Android platform developments, tools, and industry trends to inform and enhance our mobile strategy.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and technical growth within the team.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience of 5+ years as an Android Developer, with a strong portfolio of published applications.
• Exceptional proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs to integrate Android applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with modern Android architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI) and reactive programming.
• Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with local data storage, threading, and performance optimization techniques for Android.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
