Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of production-level Android applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Architect and build scalable mobile applications primarily using Kotlin and Java, leveraging modern frameworks like MVVM and Android Jetpack.
• Seamlessly integrate various third-party services including Firebase, AdMob, external APIs, and analytics solutions, along with robust monetization strategies.
• Specialize in developing advanced features for video, audio, multimedia, or utility applications, delivering rich user experiences.
• Proactively debug and resolve complex issues such as crashes, ANRs (Application Not Responding), memory leaks, and general performance bottlenecks.
• Implement critical Android components including WorkManager, background services, custom notifications, and other essential system integrations.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to best practices, and actively mentor junior developers to foster their growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end management of application releases and updates on the Google Play Store, ensuring smooth deployment cycles for our Android applications.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 7 years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related engineering field.
• Demonstrated strong expertise in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Android SDK, MVVM architectural pattern, and the Android Jetpack suite of libraries.
• Proven experience integrating and utilizing Firebase and AdMob for various application functionalities.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON data formats, network communication protocols, and asynchronous programming principles.
• Proficiency with Git version control system and experience managing application publishing processes on the Google Play Store.
• Exceptional debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Good to have: Familiarity with ExoPlayer/Media3, Coroutines & Flow, dependency injection frameworks like Dagger/Hilt, Jetpack Compose, Clean Architecture principles, Google Play Billing, and Ad Mediation.
