Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis, profiling, and validation of extensive smart metering and energy consumption datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Analyze meter-related patterns, energy consumption trends, and exceptions to uncover valuable insights into operational performance and customer behavior.
• Investigate data quality issues, inconsistencies, and discrepancies thoroughly, ensuring the integrity and reliability of all data sources.
• Perform comprehensive data reconciliation across disparate large datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness for reporting and analysis.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, visual, and interactive insights for business and operational stakeholders.
• Support the development and ongoing management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to critical management reporting functions.
• Translate complex analytical findings and statistical results into clear, concise, and actionable business insights that inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand data requirements, deliver analytical solutions, and drive data-driven initiatives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Data Analyst role, ideally with exposure to large-scale data environments.
• Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis of complex databases.
• Expert-level skills in Power BI, including dashboard design, report development, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and presentation.
• Proven experience working with and analyzing large, high-volume datasets, particularly time-series and operational data.
• Solid understanding and practical experience in data validation, data reconciliation, and robust data quality analysis techniques.
• Exceptional ability to identify and interpret trends, patterns, anomalies, and exceptions within data.
• Possess a strong analytical and investigative mindset, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and present findings to non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to or experience within the Energy, Utilities, or Smart Metering sectors, including smart-meter data, energy consumption data, half-hourly interval data, meter reads, and billing data, is a significant advantage.
