AI Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading large datasets from various sources.
• Architect and implement robust data warehousing solutions to support AI/ML model training, analytics, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and machine learning engineers to understand data needs and provide optimized data solutions for model development and deployment.
• Develop and implement strategies for data governance, data quality, and data security to ensure compliance and reliability across all data assets.
• Evaluate and integrate new data processing technologies and tools to enhance performance and capabilities of existing data infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in a cloud environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices in data engineering and MLOps within the organization.
• Drive innovation in data acquisition, processing, and storage techniques to support advanced AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on AI/ML data infrastructure.
• Expertise in designing and building large-scale data processing systems using technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and various cloud data services.
• Profound knowledge of SQL and experience with various relational and NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including data storage, compute, and AI/ML services.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools for managing the lifecycle of AI/ML models.
