AI Data Engineer

Technocomp Inc. is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. This is a crucial 6-month contract opportunity for a seasoned professional to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that are fundamental to our business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives. As a Data Engineer at Technocomp Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, directly contributing to our strategic objectives in critical areas such as Capital Markets, Fraud Screening, and Financial Crimes. This hybrid position requires you to work from our New York, NY office three days a week, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and highly efficient data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies.
• Implement complex ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data assets, establishing best practices for data governance.
• Optimize existing data infrastructure and develop new strategies for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our cloud-based data platforms to support growing business demands.
• Provide expert guidance on data-related issues, promoting a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Support critical initiatives related to Capital Markets, Fraud Screening, and Financial Crimes by providing reliable and timely data.

Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in a dedicated Data Engineer role or similar.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Python, with at least 7 years of hands-on development experience.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, including schema design, query optimization, and data loading techniques.
• In-depth understanding of data integration patterns, data modeling principles, and advanced SQL.
• Proven experience with major cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid background in the financial industry, with specific experience in Capital Markets, Fraud Screening, or Financial Crimes.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work model, committing to 3 days per week in our New York, NY office.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
