AI Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines to integrate data from various sources.
• Build and optimize robust data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytical reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems and workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure and processes for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures, ETL processes, and data models.
• Utilize cloud technologies to deploy and manage data engineering solutions effectively.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data engineering practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Expertise in SQL, including advanced querying, database design, and optimization techniques.
• In-depth understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling principles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying data services.
• Familiarity with various data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset to tackle complex data challenges.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality results in a remote, contract setting.
