SIT Pune is actively seeking a highly motivated and accomplished AI and Machine Learning Academician to join our dynamic and expanding Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This full-time, in-office position in Pune, Maharashtra, India, offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, innovative curriculum development, and the holistic academic growth of future AI and ML professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions across various subjects within Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI, IoT, and Embedded AI.
• Conduct impactful research in AI and Machine Learning, aiming for publications in reputable journals, conferences, and patents, thereby enhancing the department’s research profile.
• Mentor and guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students in their academic pursuits, research projects, and career development.
• Contribute significantly to the design, review, and continuous enhancement of the curriculum to ensure its relevance and alignment with industry standards and emerging technologies in AI and Machine Learning.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations, and theses, fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking.
• Actively participate in departmental and institutional activities, committees, and professional development programs to support the academic community at SIT Pune.
• Seek and secure external funding, grants, and collaborations for research projects to further advance the department's capabilities and contribute to scientific knowledge.

Requirements

• A completed or submitted Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution is mandatory for this AI and Machine Learning Academician role.
• Demonstrated deep expertise and practical experience in core areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and Generative AI.
• Proficiency and research interest in Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), and Embedded AI are highly preferred.
• A strong record of academic achievements, including research publications, conference presentations, and/or successful project implementations.
• Excellent pedagogical skills with a proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to a diverse student body.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative learning environment and contributing positively to the academic community.
