Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and scalable Ruby on Rails code for various web applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to design discussions.
• Work with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to implement user interfaces.
• Engage with database systems such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, writing efficient queries and ensuring data integrity.
• Actively identify, debug, and resolve software bugs and performance issues within the application.
• Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to enhance code quality and learn best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and team productivity.
• Learn and apply version control best practices using Git for collaborative development.

Requirements

• A good foundational understanding of programming concepts, preferably with experience in Python or Java.
• Basic understanding of database principles and experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Eagerness to learn and a strong willingness to adapt to new technologies, specifically Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for front-end development is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude towards learning and contributing.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site, in our Baner, Pune office for the entire 6-month internship duration.
