Backend Developer

This is a comprehensive 6-month onsite internship designed for aspiring backend developers passionate about mastering the Node.js ecosystem and contributing to cutting-edge applications. Successful trainees will have the chance to secure a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) at the conclusion of their internship, making this an ideal stepping stone for a rewarding career in software development. As a Backend Developer Trainee, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in developing robust APIs, implementing business logic, and collaborating within a dynamic development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance backend APIs and microservices utilizing Node.js, Express.js, or NestJS frameworks.
• Implement complex business logic and ensure seamless integration with various database systems, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend development teams to define API contracts, ensure smooth integration, and deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Proactively identify and resolve bugs, perform comprehensive testing, and optimize the performance and scalability of backend applications.
• Adhere strictly to clean coding principles, participate in code reviews, and follow Git version control and modern development best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable codebases.

Requirements

• Possess a strong foundational understanding of Node.js, coupled with practical experience or academic projects using Express.js and/or NestJS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript is essential, along with a solid basic understanding of TypeScript for building type-safe applications.
• Demonstrable knowledge of designing and implementing REST APIs, understanding authentication mechanisms, and core backend development concepts.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including the ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries.
• Proven track record of completing academic, personal, or internship projects that effectively utilize Node.js, Express.js/NestJS, and database integration.
• A robust foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), evidenced by a strong ability to solve complex coding problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.
• Eligibility: This opportunity is specifically open to 2026 & 2027 pass-out candidates only, who are eager to kickstart their careers.
• Good to Have: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) concepts or prior exposure to CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks will be an added advantage for this Backend Developer Trainee role.
